I stepped from plank to plank

EMILY DICKINSON

I stepped from plank to plank,
A slow and cautious way;
The stars about my head I felt,
About my feet the sea.

I knew not but the next
Would be my final inch.
This gave me that precarious gait
Some call experience.

letterstomycountry:

A brilliantly-directed short from Australia, calling for an end to marriage discrimination against gay couples.  It follows a gay couple from their first meeting, and then through all the joys, sorrows and tribulations that culminate in the decision to marry.

Spoiler Alert: gay relationships are not any different from heterosexual relationships.

Watch it, and be moved.
